Vee’s Inspiration July 23, 2024

My wife says I share too much,  but that’s just who I am.  This inspiration is dedicated to the men and women who procrastinate or don't see the importance of going to the doctor.  And no, this is not bad news, just a message.

6 weeks ago, went to my doctor to have my yearly Physical.  The results were really good.

1 month ago I had my company's Officers' yearly physical done by another medical group.  The results were really good.

I opted to have two additional tests done,  just because it’s been 2 years since I had one and I had never heard of the other test.  The two tests are a coronary CT scan and a carotid ultrasound.  The coronary CT is mainly done to check for narrowed or blocked arteries in the heart.  The carotid ultrasound is done to look for narrowed carotid arteries which increase the risk of stroke.

I had my Carotid ultrasound test last Friday and I have my Coronary CT this morning.

My message,  it’s ok to workout hard and eat healthy, but it is equally important to go to the doctor regularly to get checked out.  And it makes sense to pay a little extra to get these two two tests done every few years.  It's also important to have a colonoscopy every 5-10 years and to have your PSA tested.

I share because I care.

My Day 23 of Being Great in July.

  1. Woke up at 5:00 am

  2. Meditated for 30 minutes

  3. 15 minutes reading the book grit

  4. 100oz of water after my test

  5. Workout- sauna- Ice plunge- later today after my coronary CT test

Have a Great Day and Stay Safe!
