Vee’s Inspiration October 28, 2024
I thought my journey was over when I reached the finish line, then I realized it had only begun. The long arduous walk back to the starting line to do it all over again, but not over and again the same way, but in a different way. A way that has a different perspective and hopefully a different result. The results not being the finish line but the line of learning and understanding forced upon us by looking at and doing something the same, differently. We often get stuck in this process of comfort. We use words like efficiency and optimization as our rationale for stagnation. Efficiency is beneficial up to the point where effort stops and complacency begins. When they experience something called entitlement. That is the unintended consequence of things being too good and too easy for too long. Some of us fight that mentality often. Most of the problems we deal with are what we call or should I say I call, 1st world problems. For example, What are we going to eat tonight? Opposed to is there food to eat tonight? One of my constant prayers is to remain humble despite all the blessings God has bestowed on me. In a practical physical sense… I try to inflict some physical discomfort or pain mixed with mental anguish when I work out. Not to the point of injury, but to the point of regretting the workout. This helps me remain grounded and is a constant reminder of my journey.
