It’s been a while… things have been busy on the personal and professional level.  I had to pause a few things to manage some of the big things.  Let’s unpack.

Personally…

My wife says I share too much, but that's what makes me me.  But I only share my flaws, mistakes, revelations, and such.  I won't share others personal journey,  that is their story to tell.  I will share, my wife had surgery and she is doing ok.  Trying to care for her has taken a lot of physical and mental energy.  Thank you, Melissa, Yodi for coming and sitting with her while I was on hurricane duty.  Thank you to our neighbors who have called, texted, and prepared meals for her.  Thank you to her sisters Tammi and Kaye and Cousin Monica who have checked in often to make sure she is doing ok.  I appreciate y'all!

It has been interesting doing most of the house chores.  Cleaning the kitchen, cooking breakfast and dinner, doing the laundry, and keeping the house organized.  It has made me appreciate having a partner who helps with the tasks around the house.  I'm thankful my mom forced us to learn how to cook, clean, do laundry, and be completely self-sufficient. Thanks Mom💔.

Professionally…

I've been on two Hurricane jump teams in the past two weeks.  One up in South Carolina,  the other on the west coast of Florida.  You see things that keep you humbled and thankful.  People who have gone without power for a couple of weeks,  homes that have been destroyed by fallen trees, homes uprooted by storm surges.  By the nature of what we do and how we respond, we see the devastating human aspect firsthand.  I'm proud to be part of a company that is concerned about its associates' safety and once the danger has passed, urgently works to restore normalcy for its associates and customers as soon as possible.   There is not much more one can ask for.  I am thankful.

Thank you, Lord, for allowing my wife to have a successful surgery and on the road to recovery.  Thank you for protecting me as I drove and flew into danger zones to help others. I am thankful for your blessings and humbled by your mercy.  Amen
