Good morning October 1st! My Journey to Spartan officially starts today. What does this mean? It means my journey back to doing my first OCR in 7 years. You might ask what is OCR? It stands for Obstacle Course Race. Depending on the type, It’s 5 to 15 miles long and has 20 to 45 obstacles that have to be navigated along the way. You might ask why do OCRs. I love them because they provide a perfect mix of strength, agility, and cardio challenges that force you to train your entire body. It forces you to address cardio, flexibility, and strength. I love the challenge. But this journey to Spartan is more than just a physical journey for me, it’s a psychological restart on some of the things I've let slide over the past 7 years.
Over the next 6 months, I plan on sharing my workouts, my food plans, plenty of my self-conversations, and the ups and the downs of my journey on Vecus.net - My Journey to Spartan.
To all my cancer fighters and survivors, I celebrate you every day. Since October is the start of Cancer Awareness Month, I dedicate my journey to each of you.
I celebrate your journey and each victory! Let’s ring the bell together!
Have a Great Day and Stay Safe!
