Vee’s Inspiration June 14, 2023

Getting back on a routine always feels good.  For the better part of 5 months, I have been hit and miss at my local commercial gym.  I was still working out, but not at my usual intensity or frequency.

One of the reasons is the new position has been like drinking out of a fire hydrant,  I'm not too embarrassed to admit the last 5 months have been interesting and at times rough.

Another reason has been my health, though much better, it has been a challenge figuring out some of the anchors slowing down my recovery.  The good news is we are on the right track and I feel better than I've felt in a long time.

And the final reason has been mental.  It takes a lot of energy to continue to push through the slug of life.  As my health improved my mental energy improved.  As my confidence with the new responsibilities improved, my mental energy improved.

I used my personal experiences as an example of how life hits all of us.  But we have to work our way back to normal.

On a personal note, I'm working back to a more normal workout schedule and fitness level.

Professionally, the first 5 months with the added work responsibilities, though tough, have been viewed as successful and I've been asked to lean into it even more.  Overall, things are becoming more normal again and it feels great!

If you have been knocked off schedule because of “LIFE”,  pause, regroup, and re-engage.  The other option is to do nothing, but that's like quitting and we don't QUIT!

Have a great Wednesday!

Stay safe!
