Vee’s Inspiration October 23, 2023
Today is the 23rd day of the month in the year 2023. This day is also known as Michael Jordan Day. To some, he is the greatest basketball player to ever grace the courts. I try not to get caught up in the basketball “greatest ever” conversation. I prefer to think about things from a different perspective.
Most of us won't be the “greatest ever” in whatever trade, discipline, or profession. But, in my opinion, that should not be the goal. The goal should be to get up every day and give 100 percent of what you can give that day.
That’s why I enjoyed a few of the quotes that were put into the comment section under yesterday's inspiration.
If I were to sum up some of the quotes I would say,
“Control what you can control, the rest will be, what it will be”
I think “controlling what he could control” was the way Michael Jordan lived his professional Basketball life. One of his sayings, please forgive me for paraphrasing, was work as hard as you can every day, be it in practice or a game. People will always have different opinions about you, but they can never doubt your work ethic.
