A word and a prayer for my Cuzzo…

A word-

Cuzzo, you've always been my favorite.  My heart goes out to you for your loss,  but actually,  it's our loss.  I was not as close to our other cousin, so I don't feel the pain as much as you do, but when you hurt,  I hurt.   The sense of powerlessness,  the frustration, the confusion and I'm sure, the anger.  But Cuzzo,  we were raised in a house of God.  A house that trusted God, and a house that had faith in God.  Cuzzo,  we were taught to lay our feelings of powerlessness, our frustrations our confusion, and even our anger down and trust God.  Cuzzo,  I ask you to trust God during this upsetting time.  Trust the foundation we grew up on.  I understand this will be a difficult time, but you have us to walk with you.  To steady you when you shake, to lift you when you fall, to carry you when you feel like you can't continue.  We will be with you.

A prayer-

Lord,  I ask for your protection and strength.  Not only strength of body but strength of mind and soul.  I ask that you comfort Chanda and her family with the loss of her precious daughter at the tender age of 30. Comfort Melissa and the rest of our family as we try to remain strong for each other.  Lord,  there are times when we don't understand the why and we may grow weary,  I ask that you fortify our faith and our resolve.  Increase our understanding that in you all things are done in their time and not ours.  Keep us humble and appreciative of the blessing of family and friends.  I ask for continued strength and positive energy during this difficult time.

Amen
