Vee’s Inspiration March 27, 2023
Knowing the “Why” can be the most important part of the message. The “Why” can provide the necessary context to make something that is unrelated, to something relatable.
So Vecus, Why did you start doing the morning motivation? I started because everyone is too busy to connect until something tragic happens. I wanted to short-circuit that process with my family and close friends.
So Vecus, Why do you send your text between 7:30 am - 8:00 am? I thought that was the best time to catch most people before the pressure of the day grabbed them.
So Vecus, Why do you send your morning message every day? Smile, life happens every day. I thought It would be meaningful to share my bright and dark days, my happy and sad days, my epiphanies, and my dumbisms. Not important because it's me, but important because we are not alone with our struggles or victories. People need to understand, others are going through similar things in life.
So Vecus, Why have you changed from direct text to group text to direct text and now back to group text when you send the morning message? When I first started there were only 8-9 people who received the morning message. So it was easy to direct text. Roughly 5 years ago it grew to 500+ people so I created groups to better manage it. That worked out ok, but I did not want people to receive a lot of random responses from people in their groups, so I purchased a subscription to direct text. I found out yesterday that people are not consistently receiving the morning text through the subscription system. So I quit them😂 and I'm back to sending in a group format.
So Vecus, Why do you continue to do the morning text, which is now Vee’s Inspiration? I've tried to stop it a few times and without fail the day I planned to stop, I would receive a random text from someone saying thank you, they needed that. I continue mainly for two reasons. 1. I've been told too many times for it to be a coincidence, “Vecus, I needed to hear that message, it helped me during a difficult time or it helped put things in perspective” 2. It's a semi-public way that helps me stay balanced and honest with myself, provides passive accountability, and is a way to express some of my embarrassing ideas.
Knowing the “Why” can be the most important part of the message. The “Why” can provide the necessary context to make something that is unrelated, to something relatable.
Try to find out the “Why” at home and work, it might change your perspective.
Have a great Monday!
Stay safe!
