It’s weird to do something for 21 years.  I would not have imagined the journey my life has taken because of the wonderful company I work for.  Real talk,  it has not been all “A box of Chocolate”,  there have been plenty of times when I was planning on “hanging up my cleats” and trying something different.   I guess my plan was not God’s plan.  

Despite the crazy days and the difficult times personally and professionally,  I'm still here.  But I'm not here because of all the things I've done.  I'm here because of the powerful supportive people around me.  I often say, “so many people saved me from myself”  but it's not just the people who have supported and encouraged me,  it's also the people that have worked for me.  I've been fortunate to have had the opportunity to work with a talented group of people.  But it is not just the people that have worked for me,  but also the people I've worked for.  Some have been tough and I've wanted to quit, but in the end, those experiences have made me more resilient and innovative than ever.  

So as I sit and reflect on my 21 years at this company with my best years still ahead of me, I'm thankful.

Thankful for the people I've learned from,  thankful for the people I've been trusted to lead, thankful to my mentors and my mentees, and thankful to the people who did not give up on a stubborn guy from the Bronx.  Thankful for the support from my wife, my children, my family, and my friends.  

I look forward to the challenges ahead, with clear eyes of anticipation.  

Lord,  thank you for the direction and the mission.  I ask for continued strength during disappointment and humility during success.  I ask for discernment when right looks exactly like wrong.  I ask for mental, emotional, and physical stamina.  I ask you to keep my tribe safe and enhance them as you have enhanced me.  

Lord, I'm thankful.
