Vee’s Inspiration March 13, 2024

The ability to stay on course is not easy and is less obvious than one might think at the beginning of the journey.  Priority lists, goals, maps, reminders, buddies, mentors, coaches, phone apps, and yes, Vee’s Inspiration are all perfectly acceptable tools to help keep you on track,  but as Mike Tyson has said, “Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the face.”  

We all have received the proverbial punched-in the face.  Some of us more than others,  my question to you is, what are you going to do next?  Are you going to sit on your butt and complain about it? Are you going to yell at your corner to throw in the white towel and cut off your tape and gloves?  Or are you going to get the F-Up and get back into the fight?  

One thing I'm sure about,  if you decide to get up and fight,  you've already won the battle.  

Something interesting happened to me yesterday.   I made a call expecting to talk about one thing but ended up receiving something I had not expected.   I've said in the past there are times when I question the impact of sending out Vee’s Inspiration every day.  What seems like a simple text message can take between 30 min and 3 hours to think about, write, edit, and record. While I'm not complaining about it, when my schedule gets hectic or life happens, I think about stopping or reducing the distribution.  Then the rationalizing to quit starts, people don't read or listen to this every day, this is just white noise, this is just a way to satisfy your ego, and this is not important to anyone else but you.  And the mind goes on and on and on.  The interesting thing is, unknown to me, these thoughts have been percolating in my subconscious for the last few days.  The gift I received from the call I made yesterday was,  we love Vee’s Inspiration, we sometimes read and other times we listen to it, but please continue doing what you're doing.  It has helped us and we enjoy it.   I decided to get the F-UP and get back into the fight.
