Vee’s Inspiration March 10, 2023

When you were younger and watched Wonder Woman or Super Man, did you wish you had a superpower?  I did.  I wished I could fly like Superman,  run like The Flash, have the gadgets like Batman, and smash like the Hulk.  I wanted the seeming invincibility of Wolverine, the fury of Storm, and the mind of Dr. Xaviar.  The innocent dreams of a child.

Then I grew up.  My mother always told me to trust my gut.  I did not understand her words and their underlying meaning.  I thought it was my mom being, my mom.  But then it happened one day.  Something was not right,  something pulled me in a different direction and that saved my life.  Then a few months later I decided not to do something, it just felt wrong, that day something happened that allowed me to be here today.  I trusted my gut,  my intuition, my guardian angel, that whisper in the night.  My mother's sage words were true.  Did she really know, did she really understand?  I wish I had the opportunity to ask her.  I now realize the power of her words.

I've since learned to trust my “gut” and develop my “gut” into my superpower.  I can read people or read a room in a millisecond,  I can anticipate a reaction just by the micro-movements in a person's face.  I know now what my mother knew then,  we all have a superpower buried deep within.

I encourage you to search for yours or ask a trusted friend.  We all have something that makes us special, makes us unique.  And once you find it, don't be afraid of it,  please don't waste it, embrace it and use it.

Lord, I'm thankful for you showing me, through my mother, my possibilities also known as my “Superpower”

Have a great Friday!

Stay safe!
