Vee’s Inspiration June 3, 2023

It's funny how things happen the way they are supposed to happen.  Yesterday was a long day.  I got up at 3:00 am to get my workout in and arrived at the office at 7:00 am.  Meetings until 5:30 pm, left the office at 6:00 pm to head home.  I called Anissia to let her know I was on my way and see if she had any ideas for dinner.  She was stopping at the store to pick up some fish.  I was like bet,  “Let's air fry it instead of grease frying it.”  She was good with that.  I made it home by 6:30 pm.  Changed my clothes and thought I was going to lie down for a minute.  That minute turned into a four-hour nap.   I guess I was tired. When I woke up Anissia was cleaning up the kitchen, looking at me like, dude you slept through dinner. One of the kids was leaving the house and one of the grandboys had been dropped off at the house.  It's 10:30 pm my wife and grandson are in bed and I get a call from my cousin Artie.  That joker and his beautiful wife, Annette, came into town for a birthday celebration.   He asked how far Virginia Ave was from our house. They were going to Uber to us. 20 min later we realized Uber was not picking up on Virginia Ave coming to Snellville.  So I tell them I’ll come to get them and they can stay at the house.  1.5 hours later, at 12:15 am, we're back at the house, Anissia woke up and we talked and laughed until 3:15 am.  As I finish this message at 4:00 am, I think about that 4-hour nap and how it was supposed to happen so that this great evening could happen.  Without that nap,  I probably would have been asleep or too tired to go pick them up.  I used a lot of words to say.  I'm so happy they came into town, I'm so happy they called, I'm so happy I took that unexpected nap.  I'm so happy to see them. Things work out the way they are supposed to.  I'll sleep for a couple of hours, get up workout,  and then get ready for work.

It was great seeing one of my childhood heroes, my cousins Artie and Annette. It's funny, Artie is my blood cousin, he is married to Annette, they've been together for 50+ years. I've only known Artie and Annette. For me, there has never been an Artie without an Annette. REAL TALK, they both still look really good and I love them both is much.

Sometimes things happen now for a reason later.

Have a great Saturday!

Stay safe!
