Vee’s Inspiration April 8, 2023
On February 22 my wife and I decided to give up some things of comfort for 40 days... We realized on Friday it has been 45 days. We are both better because of this experience.
My deal was the following...
No alcohol
No fried foods
No bread
No sugar/dessert
No more than 5 hours of tv per week
(3) - 24-hour fast days each week Sunday 7 pm-Monday 7 pm Tuesday 7 pm-Wednesday 7pm Thursday 7 pm-Friday 7 pm
I plan on continuing my journey for another 5 days. We have a Wifey Birthday Vacation planned so I'll take a break while on vacation.
What have I learned these past 45 days?
When you remove things from your routine replace them with positive things
Anything is possible once you set your mind to it
Changing up my routine has helped me focus on some important things
I don't need alcohol
It is rewarding when you create your challenges and you overcome them. You can't cheat on yourself
I thought I would lose more weight than I lost. But I feel much better than I have felt in a while. (the pollen still got me)
My blood pressure has been perfect 117/73
I've slept less than I normally do. (Im not sure I understand that part)
I plan on changing my workouts to something completely different (stay tuned)
I will start doing 36-48 hours of fasting a few times per month. (I've done a lot of research on the benefits of fasting. The optimal fasting length is 24-48 hours for cell repair, body detoxification, and brain cell regeneration)
You won't grow if you don't try new things.
Have a great Saturday!
Stay safe!
