Every day 24 of each month in 2024 is Kobe Bryant day.  I think because I'm a numbers guy, 4/24/2024 which translates to 4/6/8 makes today even more special.  When I think about Kobe Bryant I think about a generational talent.  I think about the people we think about and reference even though they are no longer with us.  These are the people who have changed our opinion or altered our perspective.  Kobe Bryant has done that for me.  He is often considered one of the top 5 greatest basket ball players of all time.  For me he is the 2nd greatest behind Michael.  No disrespect to all the other great basketball players, but Kobe Bryant was just different.    

What inspired me the most about Kobe was he was not the tallest, fastest, strongest, physically most gifted player in the league while he played,  but he completely dominated the NBA for 15 of his 20 year NBA career.  He did this by working harder and smarter than any other player in the league at that time.  People can argue about his place on the all-time greatest list,  but few can argue that he outworked, outthought, and outexecuted all of his contemporaries. 

Use his example as a mirror,  you might not be the smartest, most talented, or most gifted but hard work, discipline and being intentional is how legends are created.  Make yourself Legend.  Thank you Kobe Bean Bryant,  your example of what it takes to be great is a gift for generations to come.
