Vee’s Inspiration February 9, 2023

There are so many things we have to be thankful for.  I wish I was able to name all the blessings.  I will say,  Thank you Lord for your mercy and protection while I was on vacation.  Certain events could have led to a different reality for my family.

Tragic events that affect other communities are eye-opening and humbling.  These situations make me pause and assess my situation.

As I dare to do an honest deep assessment, these events create conflicting emotions for me.  Sorrow and embarrassment.  Sorrow for the people who have been affected by the tragic events and embarrassment because, on some level,  I'm thankful it did not impact me or anyone I know.  It's uncomfortable to write this.   Perhaps this is part of the reason for my melancholy yesterday.  I just returned from a restful and exciting vacation and as I started to digest the current events around the world, I felt extremely sad.  I've been able to process things throughout the day so I am back balanced.

Lord,

Thank you for your blessings.  Please bless the survivors and the families of the people who did not survive the earthquake in Turkey and the surrounding countries.  Please covers those individuals with protection against further anguish and comfort from the traumatic experience they are living through.  Please allow those who can help, to help.  Allow the affected community with the help of unaffected communities to start the healing and rebuilding process.  Amen

Stay safe!
