Start this week with a positive can-do mentality. If you are worried about the challenges of the pending week, you won't be able to take advantage of all the opportunities that are right in front of you.
Think about this. If your first thoughts or words are I can't, you've already preprogrammed your mind not to be able to do something.
Try this technique:
write down all the personal and professional challenges that face you this week on a white, no-lined sheet of paper with a black sharpie.
Concentrate on one item on your list for 30 seconds
Put the paper out of sight
Spend the next 5 minutes in positive affirmation in regards to that one item.
I can do this one item
I am smart enough to do this one item
I am strong enough to do this one item
This one item does not define me
It's ok to ask for help
Repeat this positive affirmation with each item on your list.
Note - one item per 5 min session repeat as often as needed.
This technique trains your mind to spend 10x the energy on why you can do something as opposed to “the something” itself.
Try this technique for the next few weeks. I'm sure you will see the difference.
