To my Grandson on his 4th Birthday.

Here is some advice I'll repeat to you until you are old enough to understand...

Remain focused on completing your goals despite the difficulties. It might feel easier to stop or quit, but stopping or quitting gets heavier each moment you carry it.

When you remain focused on reaching your goals, each moment becomes an inspiration and a witness.

It's ok to take a respite. It's ok to look back and marvel at the distance you've traveled. Just remember, you still have work to be done, goals to achieve, and people to inspire.

I'll always be here for you as a resource, an advisor, an ally, a truth serum, a comforter, and as Pop Pa.
