There were a few interesting things that happened to me yesterday.
Here’s a recap of my day…
I was one of the first ones to get to the corporate office. Just me and the cleaning crew
I’m in the middle of conducting personal/professional check-ins with my team. The three I completed yesterday confirmed the work we've done over the last year in the real estate department is working and the team members have recognized the benefits.
I had lunch at my home unit yesterday. This is the unit that I cut my teeth on as a unit manager 22 years ago. I was this unit’s 2nd unit manager, I took it over after it was open for 4 months. During my visit, I was made aware of three things. 1. Life is good when we can pause events and take stock of our lives. I'm proud of the progress one of my mentees has made. 2. Life can throw curve balls at any of us and it's good that people feel they have someone they can talk to even if they don't see you often. 3. One of the long-term associates at the unit said to me after I completed my and complimented the good work they've done keeping the unit running well, she said, we just keep up the work you did in the beginning.
I had a Doctors appointment, she was super impressed with all of my numbers. Her parting words were, you are doing and looking great keep doing what you're doing! I guess all of the things I'm doing from Vee’s fitness, to Vee’s mental and emotional to Vee’s nutrition is working.
The house is finally coming back together after completing some long-overdue projects. Its starting to feel like the home we lived in for 17 years before purchasing this one, our dream home, in our dream neighborhood with our dream neighbors, Lilly and Archie(frat) we still love y'all.
We had Toco Thursday date night with Family. We miss hanging out with so many of the people who have become our Family. We are going to Do Better.
I laughed at my wife and cousins who were on a threeway fussing about 3-seed Kentucky getting upset by 14-seed Oakland.
I finally passed out at 10:15 pm after a 20-hour day
“Yesterday was a Good Day and I didn't even have to use my AK” in my Ice Cube Voice
I hope your day was as fulfilling Personally and Professionally as mine was.
Have a Great Day and Stay Safe!
