Our perspectives may be different, but our thanks should be the same.  Our country, despite all her flaws, is filled with opportunities that don't exist everywhere.  I can't speak to her being the greatest country on earth, It would be short-sighted for me to make that statement without growing up and experiencing other countries,  but I can say this has been a great country for me growing up.  Yes I know, she has a mean and scary underbelly, but I am wise enough to know there is “mean and scary” everywhere.  I appreciate her, “flaws and all”,  but more importantly,  I appreciate the brave Men and Women who have served and protected her and therefore us.  And I Salute those brave Men and Women who have made the ultimate sacrifice while protecting her and therefore us.  

Enjoy today, but please remember the significance of today.
