“I reflect...”
I laugh at the younger version of me. I was always going as close to 100% effort at everything. My education, my career, my businesses, my relationships, my fitness, my diet, my commitment to friends and family, my thirst to learn, my hobbies, my self-development, and anything I was a part of I tried to go at it 100%.
I eventually failed to some degree at everything.
“Humble hindsight” is a wise teacher.
I laugh at my younger version that was full of “Ultimate confidence” I thought I could teach the world something. Instead, she taught me.
I've learned that hard work means something to most people and it’s a good thing, but intentional hard work is the key. I’ve learned that I can operate between 85%-95% for a long time. A lot longer than I can operate at 100%.
I also learned that this gives me the ability to operate at 100% when a situation calls for it. And the times when things are challenging for one reason or another, operating at 85% is usually better than most people's expectations.
Once I applied this principle to my personal and professional life, things just seem to fall into place.
This has helped me, so I share... Perhaps it will help you.
Have a great Wednesday!
