“Be curious, not Judgmental” - Marguerite and Marshall Shearer
Walt Whitman is often credited for the above phrase that was made popular by Ted Lasso. Actually, this phrase was advice given by Marguerite and Marshall Shearer who were advice columnists for The Charlotte Observer in 1986.
I love the simple yet complex meaning of the phrase. It has many different layers of meaning.
One layer of meaning for me is- have interests in many things, but don’t have an opinion about everything.
Have a great Saturday!
