It used to be a challenge to take days off from the gym.  I thought I would lose all the progress gained by sweat and hard work.  I’ve learned as I’ve gotten older and wiser that days off from the gym are recovery days.  These days allow the body to respond properly to all the sweat and hard work put in at the gym.  This reality is the same reality of work-life balance.  When you take a rest from work, days off, or vacation, you are allowing yourself to reap the benefits of your hard work at work.  People ask me why I love the gym lifestyle … I love it because it teaches me so many lesson about life.
