Words matter.  They are the most powerful weapon in our interpersonal arsenal.   Don't believe me?  

Shut up!  You're stupid!  You're ugly!  You’re fat and ugly.   You’re an idiot!  I hate you!  You're dead to me!  I don't care about you! You’re a dummy!  

Just writing these words moved my emotions.   Imagine how they feel when they verbally assault someone.

I’m sorry.  My mistake.  I apologize.  You look good today.  I'm proud of you.  Great Job.  I believe in you.  I trust you.  You’re beautiful.  I appreciate you.  Thank you.  You're welcome.  I missed you.  I'm so happy you’re here.  You’re so intelligent.  I love the way you look.  

It feels better saying something nice as opposed to saying something mean.   When you have the urge to say something mean, decide to say nothing.   Your mind and body will thank you.
