Vee’s Inspiration June 12, 2024
It’s 3:20 am. I weighed myself and I was 224.6. I lost 1.8 lbs since yesterday morning. The cool thing is, I was born at 6:25 am, so I technically exceeded my goal.
So you might ask yourself how did he lose that much in 1 day?
Simple water elimination and major calorie restriction for 24 hours.
This is not a sustainable diet but a technique that is used by athletes to drop weight in a 24-36 hour time period. Here are the steps I took to lose the last 1.8 lbs.
I ate 1000 calories in the last 24 hours
I drank 50 oz of water in the last 36 hours. I normally drink 100-126 oz per 24 hours.
I did a heavy leg day on Monday and a heavy chest and arm day on Tuesday.
I did two sauna sessions yesterday 30min in the morning and 40min last night
Tried to get more than my normal 4-5 hours of sleep the last two days. (the body flushes waste/toxins while you sleep. That's why your morning weight is normally your true clean weight. I try to weigh roughly the same time in the morning each weigh day)
NOTE- These steps, except for 5, are only recommended for 36-48 hours. Any longer and it will have an adverse affect.
Time to put a check in that column and move to my next goal of adding 5-7 lbs of lean muscle in the next 4 months. By October, I should be at my targeted body weight range of 223-230 and deep into my OCR training. I like to quickly set my next goals, so I can keep moving in the right direction. My birthday happens in a few hours, but this weight loss journey and success have been the best birthday gift I could have given to myself.
Happy Birthday, Vecus, cheers to many more!!
Special shout out to my Dad, whose actual birthday is March 12th, but his most recent birthday is also June 12th. We had a scare a few years back and in terms of that, he is given that day as his birthday. Look at God! But that is his story to tell. I just want to say Happy Birthday Dad.
Thanks, Mom, you’ve been my protector and inspiration on this plane and from the beyond. I miss you every day. Continue to rest in peace.
To my family and friends who are constant supporters, thank you, you've made me stronger
To my Wife, we’ve been through so much together. The good, the bad, and the ugly. Thank you for riding with me while I became a better man. As we have said, “We are each other’s reflection of imperfection while pursuing greatness”
Lord, thank you for my time here. I never thought I’d travel 53 times around the sun. I'm grateful for all of the beautiful experiences. I ask that I continue to serve you by helping others. Amen
Have a Great Day and Stay Safe!
