Vee’s Inspiration February 20, 2023
The lessons my parents taught me didn't seem to apply until I become a parent. Once I become a parent, I thought I understood the wisdom of my parents. But was it their wisdom? Was it only, their experiences?
I thought I had it all figured out once I became the parent. Now, I have the experience. But now it seems different, these children today are different from us, from me. They're not built the way we were, they don't handle life as we did.
Now that I'm a grandpa, “Pa-Pa” to be exact, I understand. I was my today’s child to my yesterday's parent. I see it was not just my parent's wisdom and experience, it was the accumulation of multi-generational experiences and wisdom that my parents received from their fore-parents, who received it from their fore-parents that was passed down to me so the cycle can continue.
We often don't understand or appreciate the gift of perspective. My perspective as “Pa-Pa” has been the most extraordinary gift I didn't know I needed until I received it.
Lord, Thank you for your blessing.
Have a great Monday!
Stay safe!
