Vee’s Inspiration February 18, 2024

I jumped up this morning thinking I was late for something.  I looked at my clock and smiled it's 2:50 am and it's Sunday.   For some reason,  this week felt long.  As I do my mental recap I realize why this has been a long week.  Last week was a travel week.  My third travel week in a row.  I flew into Austin, TX, and worked my way up into Dallas Fort Worth,  flew out of Dallas on Saturday and then it was Super Bowl Sunday.  Let's see, I was up Sunday at 2:30 am setting up the basement for our yearly Super Bowl Party.  My wife normally organizes most of the parties and events at our house, but the Super Bowl Party is 100% my baby.  I organize it, decorate it, fund it, and do most of the cleanup.  I went to bed at 1:45 am on Monday.  The tough part was I got back up at 3:30 am to do my Monday morning Daily Zoom workout.  Never miss leg Monday.   After my workout, it was time to get ready for work.  After work, I did my 6:30 pm Boots and Glutes Zoom Class, when I finished the class at 7:15 pm I passed out by 8:00 pm.  And yes I was  back up at 1:00 am Tuesday  morning doing some work.  I finished that by 3:30 am and started my normal morning routine.  Fast forward to Friday/Saturday when I did a drive trip to look at sites in Alabama.  I made it back home Saturday afternoon and had Movie Date Night with my wife.  We ordered burgers from Chilis,  (please don't judge me, I've been eating 100% right since February 1st) we watched Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning.  I passed out shortly afterward.  And here it is, early Sunday morning, one week removed from Super Bowl Sunday.  The good news is I'll do my normal morning routine,  give thanks, reflect,  meditate, read,  write, edit and record Vee’s Inspiration,  but today is a workout rest day so after doing these things,  I'll lay back down and get some rest.   Thank you for letting me share some of the events of my week.  Two important points,

I still feel Super Bowl Sunday and the Monday afterward should be a National Holiday and unless you are sick, never break your routine.  There is a superpower in consistency that is only realized when things get challenging.  Please note, this past week was not challenging,  I made some personal decisions that caused it to be a long week,  but choice is the beauty of life.  The great thing is when the challenging weeks come,  I’ll be ready and conditioned for them.

Have a Great Day and Stay Safe!
