Vee's Inspiration April 3, 2025

I wish I understood yesterday the things I understand today.

I wish I had learned from the lessons told to me when I was younger opposed to having to experience the experience to learn the lesson when I got older.

I wish the younger generation would listen and learn from our experiences instead of thinking we don't understand what they are experiencing.

The following are some basics that intersect all generations:

  1. There are no shortcuts and no silver bullets to success

  2. Treat the person you don't know with respect, life is a cycle.

  3. Be kind when it’s not convenient.

  4. Work is work, be it physical or mental. You have to commit to doing one or the other.

  5. Being on time shows you respect other people’s time and value them.

  6. Mistakes will happen, take responsibility for your part of the mistake equation, learn from it, and move on.

  7. People in general don't care about your situation if you don't care about theirs.

  8. You are in control of your happiness.

  9. Listen first.  Think second. Respond last.

  10. Life does not always go according to your plan accept that reality and keep working hard.

I wish I understood some of these basic points earlier in my life.  I hope this helps you.
