Vee’s Inspiration April 10, 2024
I had an appointment to have another security camera installed around the house. When the person came to do the work, he was nothing like what I was used to. He was in a regular pick-up truck and the only identifying thing he had on was his shirt and an ID. Of course, the New York in me came out. My first thought was this cat was trying to scope us out to set us up. I know, I know, how do I go from thinking a guy who is not in a company truck, but has ID is trying to home-invade us. Especially since I scheduled the appointment and I received a text saying he was on his way. Like I said that New Yorker in me. I always go to worst-case scenarios first. My wife always says, “I’m a little bit extreme”. I always say, “Until the day someone tries me and I’m prepared” Anyway, I digressed, the guy turned out to be a legitimate contractor for the company. As he was about to install the camera, I noticed it was a different color than the other ones we have. He informed me the company no longer carried the white cameras I had and the new cameras were all black. I have this thing about symmetry and things matching. So to say I was not happy was an understatement, but I understood it was not the contractor's fault. So I smiled and told him I understood. I asked if he needed me for anything while he installed the camera. When he said no, I went about my way. When he finished installing the cameras, I noticed the camera was white and thought not the same as my others, it was pretty close. When I asked him about it he said, “I've been doing this for 34 years. You’d be surprised how many people are rude and disrespectful to me when they find out about the cameras. Since you we so nice about everything I searched my truck and looked up and down and I found the the only white camera I had.” I smiled and said, “thank you.”
The lesson that I knew, but was confirmed by yesterday's events is being polite to people, despite the situation is important. Energy or Karma cannot be destroyed it only can be redirected, sometimes that energy takes a while to come back to you, and then there are times when it happens instantly.
Be kind, be polite, and be respectful to others.
Have a Great Day and Stay Safe!
